Breakfast at Tiffany's

Audrey Hepburn. NYC. Breakfast at Tiffany's. Need we say more?
So here we were, you bet having Breakfast at Tiffany's, or as my friend put it - eating on the street in front of Tiffany's, was on our agenda.

Top Brandy Melville / Jacket Lucky Brand / Jeans Lucky Brand / Purse Zara / Shoes Birkenstocks

Most of my favorite movies include Audrey Hepburn, so this had been on my bucket list for a while. My friend that I stay with in New York happens to be male and for some weird reason never wants to do this with me. So, when Vicky and I planned out our trip, this was one of the first things that I mentioned. We first popped over to the Plaza Food Hall to grab a delicious pastry (I got a heavenly scone) and of course our first dose of caffeine for the morning.

I had to honor the late Miss Hepburn by wearing black to Tiffany's, but of course gave it my own spin with wearing a crop top and distressed jeans and surprise, surprise my Birkenstocks!

Crop Top Thrifted / Skirt LOFT / Flats Zara / Necklace BaubleBar / Clutch JCrew

Totally got the black crop top memo for Tiffany's, but with my favorite, classic high neck (or in this case, turtleneck) & paired with my favorite skirt in the world. Let's not pretend to be surprised that I chose to wander around New York city in a tulle skirt..Carrie Bradshaw AND Audrey Hepburn moment in one? Dying of happiness, I know. :)

We had the best time exploring the beautiful Big Apple together, and this definitely has to be one of my favorite moments with my dear S.

And of course after eating our pastries, we may or may not have window shopped every floor in Tiffany's too...

More NYC memories to come-- stay tuned!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mom's out there!!

I love my mom because she inspires my creativity and encourages me to follow my dreams. She was completely selfless in raising me and my sister (always in matching clothes with a bow) and I honestly cannot thank her enough!

Don't forget to tell your mom why you love her today!

I'm a pretty outdoorsy person - you can tempt me to do just about anything outside. For my birthday I got a group of my closest friends together and we went kayaking... not your typical dream birthday but for me it was ideal! I should also mention that there is not a ton of things to do outside in Texas, and living there for 23 years I had pretty much done everything there was to do. So, moving to LA was a dream come true in so many ways - one of those ways being that there is so many outdoor activities.

Recently my dear friend, Yesi Fortuna, came to LA and stayed with me for a month while she rocked out some great photography. I convinced her to go on a hike with me (which is not easy to convince a TX that isn't from Austin to do). Of course, we turned it into a little mini photo shoot, but we had a blast climbing up to Griffith Park Observatory.

Normally I wouldn't wear a skirt to go hiking, but it was such an easy hike and I am slightly obsessed with this extremely comfortable skirt, so why not? Paired back to my usual - sneakers and a tee - this outfit is definitely one of my faves. Of course, you can definitely dress a skirt like this up as well, but it's me and it's LA - talk to me next week when I'm in NYC and it may have an edgy chunky heel paired with it!

May Day

Read Article →
May is such a cheery month & we are getting so excited to arrive in the Big Apple very soon...but first I wanted to say thank you to everyone who made my 24th birthday so special this year!

After an already treat-filled & sweet day at the office, my sister & brother-in-law decided to surprise me with this ginormous birthday balloon. As we headed toward Manhattan Beach Post for din (one of my absolute favs), I couldn't stop giggling at the scene we were causing! So much pink & so much balloon-- it's still taking up half my living room as we speak.

I am so encouraged & inspired by all of you.
Thank you for a blessed birthday this year & cheers to 24!

A Day with Dior

Read Article →
We had the best time last weekend hanging out at the Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus & getting made-over by the talented Dior makeup artist Sydney Wragge-Keller.

As y'all know I don't usually wear a ton of makeup, so I asked Sydney to do a natural look on me. She did a fantastic job - I loved the smoky eye, the super natural skin, and the lips - I'm obsessed with the lips! I had already used Dior skin products and mascara so I was converted a while ago to Dior products, but I Sydney did introduce me to a few more products that I had to have - like One Essential for instance. This cream literally cleans out your pores while it is setting into your face- I have already noticed a difference!

AH girls. I've been totally convinced & converted. The price you pay for quality skincare & makeup is totally worth it (not to mention switching up your regular beauty routine is so much fun!)

Sydney introduced me to my new obsession, Dream Skin, which by the way...IS in fact dreamy & amazing. And you've probably noticed makeup wise, I'm pretty attached to my everyday cat-eye liner, but I'm realizing less is actually more for my face. Unless of course the occasion calls for my other favorite look...a bold red-lip. Anyway, loving the way Sydney gave me a fresh face today & I'm so excited to bring my new birthday lippy from S to NY in a week!!

Hope you are having a fancy Friday! ;)

To schedule an appointment with Sydney call her at (310)550-5900 Ext. 2256.
